After working in this business for more than 20 years, I've learned to appreciate the moment when a project’s to-do list is finally complete. The moment of launch is obviously huge. But checking the last item off the list is really the instant when, as a manager and participant, I feel the most satisfaction.

For the new, publishing this post is the last item on the to-do list before launch. Because this redesign has been an internal project, checking the last box on my list is particularly sweet.

Some of you know that we've been working on this site for quite a while. It's been difficult to fit this site in with the rest of the business. Progress frequently has been made at night and on weekends. Despite the lengthy design and production process, the result has been well worth the effort.

The new site is written in Ruby on Rails and is completely content managed. We've added lots of new work — all photographed in-house — and plan to add more in the coming months. We'll be adding to this blog periodically, when new work and news are warranted, or when we have time to express additional thoughts about design, and design-related current events.

We could not have completed this project without the assistance of some special people. Thanks to Grant Wiggins for his help with editing and copywriting throughout the process. Thanks also to Flatterline for their superior technical skills.

We hope you'll take a few minutes to peruse, sign-up for periodic email updates, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

On to the checklist!
